A suspended installation at Melbourne Recital Centre to accompany music of Tulalah.

Local band Tulalah commissioned a sculptural work to accompany their performance at the Melbourne Recital Centre. The groups music is known for it’s effortless intersection of complex instrumentals and blissful vocal harmonies. By using a harsh material and making it appear soft and organic as if it is blowing through the air, I hoped to visualise the texture of the sound. The installation was dynamically lit by the MRC lighting designer and interacted with projections from local artist DREZ.

Whilst I live in Berlin, Germany. Many of my projects were created on the beautiful, stolen land in Naarm - also known as Melbourne, Australia. I respectfully acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which I live, work and create, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. I extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
